Angel Ball in aid of Angels Quest

This year’s Angel themed ‘Angels Ball’ will take place in O’Reilly Hall at UCD on the 11th of October. The Xena Productions team works extremely hard to ensure that the night will be a night to remember for all our hosts and their guests.

We have exclusively booked an incredible group to perform on the night. The ten piece, 3-horn section group from Dallas USA, will fly over to Dublin especially to entertain our guests at the ball. This amazing group has played at state functions hosted in the White House by the President of the United States. They also play regularly with musical talents such as Roberta Flack, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, and many others. The evening will begin with a dazzling cocktail reception, followed by dinner, entertainment, dancing, and, as always, a few surprises. All guests will receive a gift bag on the night, and a special prize is up for grabs for the ‘most glamorous lady’. Hostess For Angels Quest

We are delighted to announce a new fund raising initiative in aid of Angels Quest. The fun idea titled “Hostess for Angels Quest” is the brainchild of Sallyanne Clarke along with her Michelin Star Chef husband Derry Clarke - of the famous l’Ecrivain restaurant, Dublin.

Sallyanne & Derry are hoping to capture the imagination of thousands of people across the nation and encourage them to host a lunch, dinner, barbeque or a supper in the comfort of their own homes before the end of November 2008. The information pack will include menus and recipes specially selected and designed by Derry Clarke for the occasion. Each red and white wine on the special wine list has been carefully chosen to compliment each course.

Every person who registers and hosts a meal will automatically be entered into a fantastic draw and will have a chance to win fabulous prizes. All guests in attendance will be entered into a separate draw for an array of fantastic prizes.
The funds raised from the initiative will go towards funding the next Angels Quest home from home project. IPPA Happy Faces Day

IPPA Happy Faces Day, which is taking place on Tuesday 1st April 2008, is the annual nationwide fundraising project organised by the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) and will benefit Angels Quest. This is the third successive year of the fundraising event and the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) would like to encourage the public to come along to support the Angels Quest charity.

Members of the public throughout the country are invited to visit the studios of participating IPPA members on 1st April and have a professional portrait taken for just a €35 donation. As all the photographers involved are providing their services free of charge all donations will go in their entirety to Angels Quest. In return you will receive a beautifully presented portrait.

Ladies Lunch

The beautiful surroundings of the Four Seasons Hotel was once again the choice of venue for the annual Angels Quest ladies lunch and fashion show, which took place in the sun drenched ‘Seasons’ Restaurant. Main sponsors Revive Day Spa provided wonderful Eve Lom gifts for everyone.

The afternoon kicked off with a ‘Coole Swan’ cocktail reception followed by a delicious four-course lunch prepared by executive chef Terry White. Following lunch, there was a spectacular showing of spring summer 07 collections from leading designer boutiques Beth, Costume, Kohl, Khan, Diffusion, Shabby Chic and Lily. Cherchi Midi added the finishing touches with the most divine selection of gorgeous shoes.

Loyal supporters of Angels Quest included Sallyanne Clarke from L'Ecrivain, Emer McGeogh, Edel Coghlan, Sharon Smurfit and Margaret Nelson. In attendance also were Clodagh Keane, Lorraine Compton, Anne Dargan, Beth Haughton, Jennifer Caulfield, Orla Gallagher, Dolores Cotter, Claire Ronan, Suzanne Deegan and Breda Clifford.

The €20,000 raised at the lunch will go towards Angels Quest’s fourth respite home, which is currently being built in Donabate, north county Dublin in conjunction with St Michael’s House, due for completion at the end of this year.

On Air Charity Auction

This on air auction on Q102 radio station took place between 10.00am and 7.00pm on Sunday 29th April 2007. The beneficiary of the auction was Angels Quest.

The team of auctioneers consisted of their weekday presenters ­ Marty & Sue, Liam Coburn, Debbie Allen, Scott Williams & Venetia Quick, together with the support of all their presentation teams. There were 10 "star" lots, which were auctioned on the hour and a selection of lesser value luxury goods or things that money can’t buy! The day was a huge success and the total amount raised for the charity was a tremendous 48,000 euro. This will help towards the building of the new Angels Quest home in Donabate.

Golf Classic

This event, which was sponsored by Zoo Salon took place on the 11th May 2007 in Luttrelstown Golf Club. Sixteen teams attended the event, which was played in many different types of weather with thunder and lightening nearly halting play at one stage. It was a very successful day with all the players complimenting the luttrelstown staff and the course, which was in magnificent condition.

The 12,000 euro raised from this event this year will go towards the building of the new Angels Quest home, which will be built in Donabate in partnership with St Michaels House in 2007.
